En este curioso artículo ensalza las características de la arquitectura española, y su adecuación al contexto chino, si bien sus argumentos son peregrinos y contradictorios.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Como queda evidente en &lt;a href="http://ace.uoc.edu/items/show/673"&gt;&lt;em&gt;The Spanish House for China&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, que publicó junto a&amp;nbsp;Robert Fan en 1934, lo que&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt; Lindbom tiene en mente es la arquitectura colonial californiana. No obstante, el artículo describe las características de la arquitectura de la vieja España de "fe evangélica [?], democracia aristocrática, austeridad y cortesía y grave respeto propio", en contraposición a sus ciudades, que como las concesiones extranjeras de Shanghai, han sucumbido a la industrialización. Más aún, Lindbom llega a postular que, "The fundamental characteristics of the architecture of all the Western Mediterranean countries are substantially the same and have their origin in China."&lt;/span&gt;</text>
