En el contexto de un extenso reportaje sobre el ejército comunista chino, <em>Estampa</em> incluyó esta reproducción de la letra de la canción "Defended Madrid" (保卫马德里), escrita por Mai Xin 麦新 (1914-1947), con música de Lü Ji 吕骥.<br /><br />La letra de la canción, <a href="https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1ds41177zH?share_source=copy_web">que sonaba así</a>, se traduce como sigue:<br /><br />"Defended Madrid"<br />Agarrad la granada y lanzadla al asesino Franco.<br />Arriba! Arriba! Pueblo español, <br />por tu libertad e independencia, únete a la batalla por la paz. <br />Arriba! Arriba! El Comitè Central de Milicias Antifascistas emitía estos recibos para acreditar que, durante la estancia en el frente, otros milicianos o familiares recibían el subsidio de guerra.
En este caso lo recibe el hermano del miliciano Chang Su Seu, destinado al frente de Teruel con la columna Ortiz, organizada por la CNT y que salió de Barcelona el 24 julio del 1936, pocos días después de la sublevación.
El receptor del subsidio, Chan Chan Kuan, firma el recibo con su nombre escrito en caracteres, 张长官 (en pinyin, Zhang Zhangguan).
