Description An account of the resource Esta casa-procuración para los Recoletos fue uno de los proyectos que realizó Lafuente para órdenes religiosas en China. El terreno para esta casa se adquirió en 1921 y un mes después empezó su construcción. Se trata de uno de los tres mejores proyectos de Lafuente en China. Fue inaugurado por el cónsul español y en presencia de toda la comunidad española de Shanghai el 18 de marzo de 1922. La composición del alzado es clasicista, muy típica de la arquitectura del norte de España. Se trataría de otro gran ejemplo de eclecticismo historicista, puesto que hay muchas referencias al plateresco. Puede que debido a que la Orden de San Nicolás Tolentino tenía sede en Marcilla, Navarra, los Padres Recoletos indicasen a Abelardo Lafuente el estilo que querían para su casa-procuración, y que por esa razón este incluyese estilemas de aquella zona en la fachada. La casa se mantiene hoy en pie en el número 6 de Xiangshan Road, antigua Rue Moliere de la Concesión Francesa, en un estado de conservación pobre; en su interior viven numerosas familias. Situada en la antigua Avenue Petain (actual Hengshan Lu), una de las principales arterias de la Concesión Francesa de Shanghai, alberga en la actualidad el restaurante <a href="http://www.timeoutshanghai.com/venue/Bars__Clubs-Lounges/241/Sashas.html">Sasha's</a> y es recordada por otro de sus propietarios, el financiero y oficial del Guomindang <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tse-ven_Soong">T.V. Soong,</a> hermano de las famosas <a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermanas_Soong">hermanas Soong</a>, Ai-ling, Ching-ling y Mei-ling, a su vez esposas de H.H. Kung, Sun Yat-sen y Chiang Kai-shek, respectivamente.  Construida con forjado sanitario más una planta y cubierta inclinada, la ordenación de la villa tiene un ritmo sostenido de vanos adintelados con un simple remarque de sus embocaduras al modo herreriano. La fachada principal es notable por sus elementos eclécticos, propios del neoclasicismo académico, y que remiten a los palacios urbanos del Madrid de finales del siglo XIX que Lafuente conoció. En particular, el elemento más significativo de la fachada, el pórtico yuxtapuesto, es una clara referencia al <a href="https://artedemadrid.wordpress.com/2013/10/03/los-palacios-de-ustariz-y-de-villagonzalo/">Palacio del Conde de Villagonzalo </a>(Madrid, 1862) de Juan de Madrazo, del que replica el acceso de coches y carruajes por el patio trasero y detalles de los vanos.
