Situado en la calle del Cid, en la zona del barrio del Raval conocida como Barrio Chino, el cabaret, especializado en espect&amp;aacute;culos de transformismo, anunciaba su nombre con una tipograf&amp;iacute;a dise&amp;ntilde;ada por el dibujante Ricard Opisso a imitaci&amp;oacute;n de la escritura china. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;La inspiraci&amp;oacute;n del nombre fue seguramente la pel&amp;iacute;cula &lt;a href="http://ace.uoc.edu/items/show/565"&gt;&lt;em&gt;Wu-Li-Chang,&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/a&gt; estrenada en 1930 y protagonizada por Ernesto Vilches, versi&amp;oacute;n espa&amp;ntilde;ola de un pel&amp;iacute;cula norte-americana que, a su vez, hab&amp;iacute;a sido originalmente una obra de teatro, tambi&amp;eacute;n representada en Espa&amp;ntilde;a en los a&amp;ntilde;os veinte.</text>
