Soong,&lt;/a&gt; hermano de las famosas &lt;a href="https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermanas_Soong"&gt;hermanas Soong&lt;/a&gt;, Ai-ling, Ching-ling y Mei-ling, a su vez esposas de H.H. Kung, Sun Yat-sen y Chiang Kai-shek, respectivamente.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Construida con forjado sanitario m&amp;aacute;s una planta y cubierta inclinada,&amp;nbsp;la ordenaci&amp;oacute;n de la villa tiene un ritmo sostenido de vanos adintelados con un simple remarque de sus embocaduras al modo herreriano. La fachada principal es notable por sus elementos ecl&amp;eacute;cticos, propios del neoclasicismo acad&amp;eacute;mico, y que remiten a los palacios urbanos del Madrid de&amp;nbsp;finales del siglo XIX que Lafuente conoci&amp;oacute;. La parcela tiene un jard&amp;iacute;n delantero que hoy en d&amp;iacute;a ha quedado encerrado por otro edificio que ha construido delante y que le niega el acceso directo a Yuyuan Road. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;El edificio es de estructura de hormig&amp;oacute;n in situ y tiene unas caracter&amp;iacute;sticas constructivas muy similares a las de los &lt;a href="http://ace.uoc.edu/items/show/116"&gt;Ramos Apartments&lt;/a&gt;. Una estructura muy simple y b&amp;aacute;sica con apartamentos aparentemente grandes y todos con ventanas abiertas a fachada o a un hipot&amp;eacute;tico patio de luces trasero que nunca lleg&amp;oacute; a completarse: hoy en d&amp;iacute;a, esa fachada posterior queda expuesta sobre Changning Road. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;La composici&amp;oacute;n general es bastante simple, con una base que es la planta baja, en diferente color y altura, que eleva todo el inmueble y le da monumentalidad. La entrada al edificio posee unas escaleras y una peque&amp;ntilde;a marquesina exterior que le proporciona m&amp;aacute;s relevancia.</text>

Vicente, el hijo de la familia, descrito como &amp;ldquo;aindianado, achinado, amarillo y con un color obscuro que acababa de matizar su rostro de m&amp;aacute;scara de museo ultramarino&amp;rdquo; (5), acaba pase&amp;aacute;ndose con lo que el narrador describe como &amp;ldquo;el aut&amp;eacute;ntico traje chino que su padre hab&amp;iacute;a tra&amp;iacute;do de all&amp;aacute;&amp;rdquo; (37). A lo largo de la novela se mantiene cierta confusi&amp;oacute;n sobre el origen del traje, del que se dice que era &amp;ldquo;un traje de guerrero jefe de tribu en Jol&amp;oacute;&amp;rdquo; (37), para luego insistir en que era &amp;ldquo;de viejo guerrero chino&amp;rdquo; (47) y concluir con que el traje era de un antepasado de la familia. Con la espada de este traje, Vicente acaba asesinando a su hermana, quien al contrario que &amp;eacute;l, ten&amp;iacute;a un aspecto muy occidental.</text>
